All proceeds go to benefit the 'The First Place Fund for Youth' in Oakland. The organization was founded in 1998 and has a tremendously successful track record of helping youth make the difficult transition from foster care to independent living (Please check out their website for more information; additionally here is a great article on the organization). We're looking for a 'suggested' donation of $20 - but will take $5, $50, $100 or whatever you're willing to spare. Either pay at the event or use PayPal.     After you donate, you will receive an email confirmation from The First Place Fund, a registered 501(c)3 organization. If the amount is more than $250, you'll also receive an IRS-approved paper receipt. The First Place Fund has a policy committed to respecting your online privacy available from their website.
